Victoria de los Santos Mycue completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at California Institute for Integral Studies in May of 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Vassar College (1991), and Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy from University of Notre Dame de Namur (1998). Victoria was raised in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas, of mixed background: Irish and Mexican heritage. She speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys working with clients who traverse culture, nationality, language, race, class, sexuality and gender. In her private practice (supervised by Dr. Carol Drucker), she seeks to center the client’s embodied voice as they address current problems and recurring patterns in life. With the tools of Control-Mastery theory, clients are able to gain mastery over dynamics that previously left them confused and frustrated, and make more conscious choices from a place of understanding and empowerment. This personal work often incorporates the client’s creative process, as well as nourishing their ability to develop unique spiritual practices, claim hidden or wounded aspects of themself, and move toward the overall goal of long-term well-being and deep satisfaction. Victoria also holds a LMFT since 2003, with a credential in art therapy (ATR-BC) since 2002.
